Our passion is creating spaces that bring people together, reconnect them with nature, and make wellness a joy.
Born from a simple love of sea swims and wood-fired saunas, we’ve grown into a movement grounded in community, sustainability, and a deep respect for our coastal surroundings.
Based in North Cornwall, our hand-built saunas sit on some of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches – Baby Bay, Harlyn Bay, and Polzeath Wild Spa – offering warmth, stunning views, and a chance to pause.

Polzeath local Steve French set out to create a space that promotes healthy living in harmony with nature. Inspired by the beauty of the Cornish coastline, his vision was to offer a welcoming, year-round retreat where both locals and visitors could unwind, connect, and enjoy the benefits of wellness in the wild.
‘Creating Saunas by the Sea has been instrumental in my recovery. After a day building high end homes on the beautiful Cornish coast then heading to the gym for crossfit and olympic weightlifting, my body felt weary and I needed to find a way to recover, relax and take the pressure off’
